About OUTlaw Pride

Queer roots music, built for the OUTlaws.

★ A Rebel House ★

Queer. Country. OUTlaw.

The original outlaws of country music were the ones who refused to fit in. We’re carrying that lineage forward.

OUTlaw Pride is a multifaceted music company: we book the talent, run the production, throw the festival, and release the records. Our home base is Texas, our reach extends to Nashville, and our community keeps growing every year.

So far, our events have raised over $21,000 for queer Texas nonprofits.

Nothing’s more outlaw than being queer in country music.

★ Meet The Founder ★

Julie Nolen

Little bit moody, little bit soulful country, a little in your face. Unapologetic. Bold.

Julie Nolen is a Texas-based singer-songwriter whose music blends raw storytelling with the grit of rock & roll. Born under the wide-open skies of West Texas, her songs carry the dust of desert highways and the resilience of those who call them home. A proud voice in queer country, Julie brings authenticity to a genre rooted in tradition, proving that country music is for everyone.

In 2025 and 2026, she was an official SXSW artist, showcasing her dynamic live performance. Now she’s rolling out a five-song project leading up to a full EP drop in time for AmericanaFest in September. The lead single, “Love Me When I’m Leaving,” sets the tone for a collection of songs that explore the beauty and heartbreak of moving on.

Whether playing an intimate acoustic set or leading a full band, Julie delivers music that’s as honest as it is powerful.
